December 15, 2015 - Entrepreneur Development and Socio Economy PKNP Group organized a Contemporary Ceramic Design of Perak Heritage Competition held in Entrepreneurship Development Centre, Bandar Meru Raya, Ipoh. The closing ceremony was officiated by Encik Amirul Hakim Bin Abdullah, Director of Entrepreneur Development and Socio Economy PKNP Group and the handover of compliment plaque between PKNP Group and UiTM Perak Branch. The judges for the competition were from UiTM Perak Branch, Malaysia Handicraft Development Corporation, MARA Perak and WS Pottery Sdn. Bhd. as ceramic entrepreneur witnessed the ceremony accompanied by the Head of Department PKNP Group, department representative and government agencies.

The programme was organized in the collaboration of UiTM Perak Branch especially Faculty of Art and Design and PKNP Group has achieved a great response in which a total of 128 participants consists of UiTM students, Community College, Chenderoh and ceramic entrepreneur took participation. Two categories were contested – Category A Lamp Stand Design and Category B Souvenirs Design. The most creative, innovative and competitive crafts for commercial will be awarded as winner.

“Entrepreneurship can be a key to create economy based on knowledge and innovation. To change the society through entrepreneurship is something that we can generate and measure the achievements, not to create only wealth but to produce prosperity that can be shared with community besides contributing to a sustainable economy”, Encik Amirul says regarding the entrepreneurship role in the development of economy in the country.

During the event, the entrepreneurship talk was given by MARA Perak State presented by Encik Mohd Faizal Bin Mohd. Zin and SME Corp, Perak by Puan Mazuin Binti Mahat. The highlights of the event was the prize award and certificate of participation to the champion, first runner up, third place and also consolation prize to the contestants.
