February 1, 2016 - Having a home is a basic need for every society. The current cost of living is higher when it is increasingly difficult to make people buy their dream home, recognizing that fact, YAB Dato 'Seri Diraja Dr Zambry Abd Kadir, the Chief Minister of Perak has focused in particular the commitment of the State Government to ensure that affordable housing projects are built and to achieve the target that was promised in the Perak Barisan Nasional manifesto in the 13th general election.

PKNP Group through its subsidiary, PCB Development Sdn Bhd, in collaboration with Sunny Reap Development Sdn Bhd have established a joint venture company, Majujaya Cempaka Sdn Bhd, as the developer for the project development of affordable housing in Suria @ Meru which located in Zone 9, Bandar Meru Raya in ensuring economic prosperity and balance to the people in the state of Perak.

Although the cost of construction materials and labor charges has increased but PKNP still maintain the set price with the same built up area". According to PKNP Group Chief Executive, Dato' Aminuddin Bin Md Desa, Suria @ Meru offers a total of 413 residential units that are equipped with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms with an area of between 1600 to 1670 square feet, featuring comfort and safety as well as quality of construction materials. Suria @ Meru have design that meets the needs of a modern urban lifestyle with special prices starting from RM263,800 to RM273,800 and located close to the Ipoh City centre.

"PKNP Group is taking the risk for developing affordable housing in high-valued land. The price for the standard unit before 5% discount for Bumiputera and it is much lower than the product of private developer built housing in the same environment. The average sale price of these houses are between RM320,000 to RM473,000. These prices are for two-storey houses for new development as well as the secondary market. This is a challenge and a mandate that has been entrusted to the PKNP Group for the realization of not marginalizing the interests of the people in this modernization", he added.

Meanwhile, the Group also launched portal www.rumahkuamanjaya.com.my. It is a website developed specifically to promote and sell Bumiputera quota properties built by private developers as well as affordable homes built by the PKNP Group. In collaboration with the Department of Land and Mine through the Bumiputera Property Trust Account funds, portal Rumahku Amanjaya is a new platform to intensify efforts towards quota Bumiputera property ownership in the state.

According to Dato' Aminuddin, the Rumahku Amanjaya portal is suitable and appropriate so that people who are interested whether to have a home, looking for commercial premises or investment property would be able to access to authentic information easily and quickly and it can also boost marketing efforts and sales.

"Over a period of nearly 8 months since the Rumahku Amanjaya portal has been in operation, there was an increase in Bumiputera quota property sales. This is a reflective of the effort performed by PKNP Group as marketing and sales of real estate agents for Bumiputera quota houses and by private developers. For the last six months of 2015, sales of RM30 million was recorded compared to RM9.7 million for the first 6 months of the same year. This shows an increase of 67%", he added.

Earlier PKNP Group had launched two affordable housing projects namely Aman Residency and Casa D'Kayangan which are also located in Bandar Meru Raya in May 2015.
