January 9, 2017 – His Royal Highness Sultan of Perak Darul Ridzuan, Sultan Nazrin Shah Muizzuddin Shah Ibni Sultan Azlan Muhibbudin Shah Al-Maghfurlah declared Bagan Datuk as the 12th state in Perak. The historic event was held at Sekolah Menengah Sains Bagan Datuk (SABDA). Also present were YAB Dato 'Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Deputy Prime Minister, YAB Dato' Seri DiRaja Dr. Zambry Bin Abd. Kadir, Perak Chief Minister and Datuk Seri Abdul Puhat Mat Nayan, Perak State Secretary.

In conjunction with Bagan Datuk distric proclaimation ceremony, Perak State Secretary’s Office has given the mandate to PKNP Group via South Perak Regional Development Division and Government Relations Affair Department to coordinate the Royal exhibition. The royal exhibition consist of display on the background, chronology and future development projects for Bagan Datuk district, particularly the development of Perak Heavy Industrial Park which is in line with the Southern Perak Regional Development Plan. 

PKNP Group was also involved in the public exhibition which has been set up by the organizer. About 10,000 visitors were present at the proclamation event. The exhibition provided a good platform to showcase the PKNP Group’s projects and showed the efforts taking in realizing the development of the state of Perak to the public.
