The Launching of Dataran Amanjaya Manong Smalltown, Kuala Kangsar

Kuala Kangsar, May 17, 2017: Perak State Small Town Project Redevelopment is one of the initiatives of the State Government through Kumpulan PKNP in the pursuit of a balanced economic distribution and quality of life among the rural population. The project also serves as a catalyst to stimulate local economic development.

Dato' Aminuddin Bin Md Desa Bin, Chief Executive of PKNP Group said, "PKNP is set to be the leader for the development of small towns in the rural areas. Through this development PKNP Group provides space for the development of Bumiputera entrepreneurs in particular and local communities to conduct their business in an organized and orderly manner. "

Dataran Amanjaya Manong consists an area of 1.1 acres. It has 4 units of stalls, 4 units of shops and square. All units have been filled by local entrepreneurs selling food and beverages, cosmetics and so on. In addition, there is also a service centre for the Manong State Assembly representative.

Currently there are 10 small towns known as the Dataran Amanjaya already in operation, such as Trong, Ijok, Sauk, Lekir, Kubu Gajah, Semanggol, Simpang Lima, Lawin, Bagan Datuk and Manong.

"In 2017 Kumpulan PKNP through it’s Small Town Development Unit, plans to develop 8 more projects such as Bukit Gantang, Sungai Kerang, Rungkup, Bukit Bertam, Kuala Selangor, Titi Serong, Matang and Sungai Lesong.  It is expected to give a new impetus in the landscape of small towns that are more modern and organized ", he said.

Dataran Amanjaya Manong was officated by YAB Dato' Seri Dr. Seri DiRaja Dr. Zambry Bin Abdul Kadir, the Menteri Besar of Perak in conjunction with the Pemukiman Program of the Perak Chief Minister in Kuala Kangsar Parliamentary constituency.
