IPOH, 23rd July 2021- YAB Menteri Besar Perak, Dato Haji Saarani bin Mohamad has spent his time visiting a vaccination center (PPV) at Casuarina Convention Center, Ipoh. The Public-Private Partnership COVID-19 Industry Immunisation Program (PIKAS) is under the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI), and ProtectHealth Corporation Sdn Bhd. This immunisation program in Perak State has been organised in Tanjung Malim and Manjung recently.

Casuarina Convention Center is the first and largest PIKAS public PPV in Perak. The center provides comfortable facilities and ample parking space. Daily targets for vaccination is 1,500 doses per day. About 16,000 manufacturing workers in Kinta, Batu Gajah and Kampar will receive these vaccines.

This program is one of the strategies that have been implemented through the COVID-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) to accelerate the vaccination program in the target state towards the transition into Phase Three of the National COVID-19 Immunisation Program (NIP).

Datuk Redza Rafiq Abdul Razak and Tuan Zainal Iskandar Bin Ismail, Chief Executive Officer, Kumpulan Perak Corporation Berhad (PCB) were also present today.
