DARUL RIDZUAN UTILITY CORRIDOR GUIDELINES PREPARATION WORKSHOP

IPOH, 28th February 2022 - The State Government is in the initiative to create a coordination agency at the State level to perform the task of coordination, monitoring and maintaining the utility database in the State of Perak. Therefore, the State Government through the State Economic Planning Unit (UPEN) is working hard to formulate a guideline for the implementation of a systematic Utility Corridor, especially from the aspect of infrastructure and utility management.

 

On 28th February to 1st March 2022, UPEN in collaboration with Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Perak (PKNPk) have organized the Darul Ridzuan Utility Corridor (KUDR) Guidelines Preparation Workshop at MRoof Hotel Ipoh. A total of 42 participants along with 6 panels from various government departments and agencies were involved to refine the terms of the establishment of KUDR and also to increase the knowledge on the newly introduced utility corridors in Perak.

 

The results of the discussions from this workshop will be used as a comprehensive draft of KUDR guidelines for the reference of stakeholders in the development and installation of utility infrastructure as well as to regulate activities in order to be implemented more transparently, orderly and systematically.

 

This program was officiated by YBhg. Dato’ Nor Sham binti Rahman, Deputy State Secretary of Perak. Also present in this program were YBhg. Datuk Redza Rafiq bin Abdul Razak, Chief Executive of PKNPk, YBrs. Dr. Hartini binti Mohd Nasir, Senior Deputy Director of Policy and Macro of the State Economic Planning Unit (UPEN) and Encik Nur Iskandar bin Othman, Chief Executive of Asia Debut Silver Sdn. Bhd. (ADSSB).
