IPOH, 26^th April 2022 - PKNPk has been appointed to be the sole strategic partner to coordinate the first phase of 6 5G Infrastructure Implementations in Greater Ipoh. It is in line with the aspirations of the State Government, especially in the development of the digital economy to boost economic growth in Perak.

The organization of this session with the Ipoh City Council (MBI) is a follow-up to the Utility Corridor Guidelines Preparation Workshop last February. This Focus Group Discussion (FGD) was organized at Hotel Casuarina@Meru and attended by several government agencies and Local Authorities (PBT). The local authorities involved are Ipoh, Batu Gajah, Kampar and Kuala Kangsar.

The goal of the FGD is to coordinate and compile the 5G Infrastructure and Network Implementation Guidelines for integrated pole structures (Smart Pole) in the Greater Ipoh Region. The ceremony was officiated by YB Encik Khairul Shahril Bin Mohamed, Chairman of the Youth, Sports, Communication and Multimedia Committee.

Also present at the ceremony were YBhg. Dato' Rumaizi bin Baharin @ Md Daud, Mayor of Ipoh, YBrs. Puan Halizah binti Sipun, Deputy State Secretary (Development) and Director of the State Economic Planning Unit (UPEN), YBhg. Datuk Redza Rafiq bin Abdul Razak, Chief Executive of PKNPk and Encik Zairulnahar Bin Zakaria, State Director of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) Perak State Office.
