LUMUT PORT APPRECIATION NIGHT 2022

IPOH, 12th February 2023 – More than 200 customers from the shipping lines, shipping agents, freight forwarders, logistic service providers as well as the shippers and importers, who have been working hand in hand with Lumut Port were recognized and celebrated recently during the Lumut Port Customer Appreciation Night 2022.
Dato' Samsudin Bin Abu Hassan, who represented the Chairman of Lumut Port, welcomed YAB Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad, Menteri Besar of Perak as the guest of honour.
Meanwhile, the guests were entertained by the dragon dance as an overture opening, and the Yee Sang ceremony also entertained the guests.
Dato' Seri Saarani stated in his speech that Lumut Port is one of the significant entities in the state of Perak. It serves as a main entry point for exporting mineral resources. The extension of Lumut Maritime Terminal 2 will cause an increase in the number of ships and cargo via this port. The Lumut Maritime Industrial City (LuMic) project also will change the landscape of Perak's economic environment.
He added, "Lumut Port has successfully developed the Lumut Port Industrial Park (LPIP), which now places various industrial activities such as Oil & Gas, manufacturing, and a 'transhipment hub' for cargo that uses the port's services and has provided job opportunities to nearly 20,000 people skilled and semi-skilled workforces, most of whom are native to the state of Perak."
YAB Menteri Besar of Perak also presented awards to the Top 3 Customers Tonnage Increased Award for the Year 2021-2022, Top 3 Agencies Most Vessel Called Award, and Service Award to staff who have served for a long time at Lumut Port.
Also present at this ceremony were YBhg Datuk Redza Rafiq, Chief Executive of PKNPk Group and Member of the Board of Directors of Lumut Port, YBhg Dato Mohd Azmi Bin Hj. Othman Director of Lumut Port, Mr. Rosmin Bin Mohamed, CEO of Perak Corporation Berhad Group, YBhg Dato' Haji Mubarak Ali bin Gulam Rasul, Chief Executive Officer of Lumut Port and the management line of Lumut Port.
