IPOH, 21st February 2023 – Perak State Finance Officer, YB Tuan Mohd Zaki, led a working visit to the PKNPk Pekan Kecil Development Project Site in Bagan Datuk, Rungkup & Changkat Jong, which commenced at 9:00 am today. The purpose of the visit was to assess the current state of the Pekan Kecil projects and identify potential redevelopment opportunities in the future.

This Pekan Kecil project aims to enhance infrastructure facilities to strengthen rural communities while catalysing economic development by establishing local Bumiputera entrepreneurs. It is expected that the planned Pekan Kecil project will positively impact land value and the region's identity, ultimately improving the local community's overall sustainability, innovation, and competitiveness.

In addition to YB Tuan Mohd Zaki, other notable figures in attendance included YB Dato' Shahrul Zaman Yahya, Member of the State Assembly of Perak Rungkup, YBhg. Datuk Redza Rafiq Abdul Razak, Chief Executive of PKNPk, Tuan Mohd Ghopran Bin Yeop Hamzah, Bagan District Officer Datuk, Tuan Saidi bin Haji Shaari, District and Lower Perak Officer, Tuan Mohd Hizaz Mohd Ibrahim, YDP Teluk Intan MP, Dato' Mohd Azhar Jamaluddin, and the management line PKNPk.
