IPOH, 9th March 2023 – To unlock prosperity in the Darul Ridzuan state, the KSI Strategic Institute for Asia Pacific, Perak Academy, and MICCI Perak jointly organized the Perak Makmur Summit at the Royal Perak Golf Club.

The one-day conference, themed "Recover, Reset, Resilience - Unlocking Prosperity in the Darul Ridzuan State," brought together about 100 participants, including industry representatives, intellectuals, and government officials from Perak and other parts of the country.

Dr. Maisarah Ahmad, CEO of Institut Darul Ridzuan, represented YAB Dato' Seri Saarani bin Mohamad, the Menteri Besar of Perak, and delivered the opening remarks, highlighting the potential and obstacles in creating prosperity, resilience, and economic recovery in Perak.

One of the panel discussions, titled "Revitalizing Perak's Economy and Charting The Future – Cultivating The Ideal Investment Climate," addressed the challenges faced by the business community, the effects of the pandemic, and opportunities for innovation and growth. Datuk Redza Rafiq, the Chief Executive of PKNPk, was invited as a panelist and emphasized that PKNPk is exploring opportunities in green technology, minerals, and logistics, which are fundamental in attracting new investors.

Other distinguished guests included Tan Sri Dato' Seri Lee Oi Hian, Kuala Lumpur Kepong's CEO (KLK), and Dr. Ahmad Shahir Abdul Aziz, the senior manager of InvestPerak. Dato' Wei Chuan, the Executive Director of KSI Strategic Institute for Asia Pacific, moderated the panel discussion.

Overall, the Perak Makmur Summit provided a platform for discussions on creating a more prosperous, resilient, and innovative Perak and highlighted the potential for growth in various sectors, particularly those aligned with the nation's green agenda.
