IPOH, 29th March 2023 – About 17 delegations from Zhanjiang, Guangdong, China, and the Malaysian-China Industrial & Commerce Association (MCICA) visited several State Government offices. The mission was to establish bilateral relations between Zhanjiang and the state of Perak. The delegation, led by Zhanjiang's Deputy Mayor, He Jiamin, previously held discussions with UPEN and Invest Perak.

YB Sandra Ng, Chairman of the Housing and Local Government Committee, led the session between Perak State and Zhanjiang at the Business Centre, Casuarina@Meru. The discussion focused on the development of industries and new energy sources, specifically hydrogen and solar energy.

Also present in the discussion were YB Loh Sze Yee, Chairperson of the Tourism, Industry, Investment, Corridor Development Committee, YB Encik Azlan Helmi, Chairman of the Communication, Multimedia, and NGO Committee, YBhg Datuk Redza Rafiq, Chief Executive Officer of Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Perak, representatives from PKNPk's subsidiary companies, Perak Corporation Berhad and Majuperak Holdings Berhad.

The Perak State and Zhanjiang had a Memorandum of Understanding (Mou) signing to enhance the collaboration between the two regions at the end of the program.
