INNOVATIVE ZERO WASTE FACILITY TO REVOLUTIONIZE INDUSTRIAL LANDSCAPE IN SILVER VALLEY TECHNOLOGY PARK

IPOH, 8th May 2023 – The Silver Valley Technology Park (SVTP) in Perak, is set to witness the establishment of a RM40 million Zero Waste Facility processing plant. This state-of-the-art processing plant, the first of its kind in the region, is being constructed under the Built-To-Suit and Lease (BTSL) model on 11.88-acre site, with operations expected to commence in 2024.

 

The Chief Minister of Perak, Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad, emphasized the significance of the opening of Jinjing Silicon Technology Sdn Bhd's processing plant, stating that it marks the start of the SVTP initiative that will drive the next stage of economic growth for the State of Perak. The Zero Waste Facility processing plant will comprehensively process minerals, encompassing intermediate and downstream processes. It is anticipated to yield an annual production output of 1 million tons of white silica sand, 100,000 tons of high-purity quartz sand, and silicon materials for the thriving renewable energy industry. The plant is scheduled for operations in Q3 2024. Upon operation, the plant is expected to create 500 new job opportunities.
