IPOH, 10th May 2023 – Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Perak (PKNPk) has spearheaded the green technology efforts in Perak under the Perak Sejahtera 2030 development plan, which emphasizes the exploration of renewable energy sources to support economic operations.

As a result, PKNPk's subsidiary Perak Industrial Resources Sdn Bhd (PIRSB) launched the PTTC @ Meru Raya Building Preservation Program, which employs rooftop solar panels and Smart solar street lighting near the Perak Techno Trade Centre, Meru Raya Ipoh. This programme attempts to implement and fulfil the State Government's goals under the Perak Sejahtera 2030 Sustainable Use of Resources and Nature (under the Renewable Energy component).

YAB Menteri Besar of Perak, Dato' Seri Haji Saarani Bin Mohamad said, "The Renewable Energy Industry and Green Technology play a major role in driving the national economy; projects like this can help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) towards making Perak a state that uses efficient and sustainable technology."
