IPOH, 7 June 2023 – In the occasion of Aidiladha, a ceremony was held at the Foyer of YAB Menteri Besar's Office, Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan, for the handover of sacrificial cows donated by Perak State Government-related companies (GLCs) to the Perak State Government. The ceremony took place today and was presided over by YAB Dato Seri Haji Saarani Mohamed, who accepted the donation of 400 sacrificial cows, valued at RM2.92 million, on behalf of the State Government.

YB Isham Shahruddin, representing the Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Perak (PKNPk), completed the handover contract and presented a 'mock cheque' for 40 donations. Other GLCs that participated in this noble cause included the Perak Menteri Besar Corporation (MB Inc), the Perak State Government Secretary Corporation (SSI), the Lembaga Air Perak (LAP), and the Perak State Agricultural Development Corporation (SADC).

These 400 cows will be distributed to 59 DUN areas, including opposition constituencies, with each DUN receiving 5 sacrificial cows. The distribution will be coordinated by Muslim assemblymen and will go to mosques, suraus, and slaughterhouses.

For assemblymen who are not Muslim, the coordination will be handled by the District Religious Administration Officer. The distribution process to the state assembly level representatives is expected to take place next week.
