IPOH, 11th June 2023 – Koperasi Perbadanan Perak Berhad (KOPERAK) organized an opening ceremony for the second Petronas petrol station at the Lebuh Meru Raya at 11 am today. In 2011, they opened the first petrol station at Bandar Meru Raya.

YB Puan Salbiah Mohamed, chairman of the Women's Development Committee, Family, Social Welfare, Entrepreneur Development, and Perak State Cooperatives, officiated the opening ceremony.

Meanwhile, KOPERAK, Perak State Cooperative Commission, and the Perak State Cooperative Movement organized the benchmark program, managing petrol station operation and management. This program seeks the technical and practical expertise and experience of cooperative managers or board members in managing gas station operations. About 15 cooperatives in Perak State supervise by KOPERAK under this initiative.

A highlight of the event, KOPERAK giving free petrol to the first 50 motorcyclists was the main highlight of the event.

Also present at the ceremony were the Deputy Director of Cooperative Development and Organization & Management of the Perak State Malaysian Cooperative Commission, Mrs. Zainab A. Rahman; Chief Executive of Perak Industrial Resources Sdn Bhd, Encik Abdul Rahim bin Bohari @ Bahari and Director of PKNPk Government Management & Stakeholder Bodies, Encik Abd Aziz bin Abd Rahim.
