PERAK STATE STEERING COMMITTEE (JPN) MEETING NO. 2/2025

IPOH, 17th NOVEMBER 2025 - The Perak State Steering Committee (JPN) Meeting No. 2/2025, chaired by the Chief Minister of Perak, convened to review the State’s strategic development priorities. Over the first nine months of 2025, Perak recorded RM2.16 billion in realised investments and generated more than 2,500 job opportunities through strong collaboration between the Federal and State Governments.
The meeting also focused on development priorities under the 13th Malaysia Plan (RMK-13), particularly high-growth, high-value (HGHV) economic sectors such as the automotive industry, the proposed implementation of the NCER Special Renewable Energy Economic Zone (SREEZ@NCER), and the planning of the Malaysia–Thailand Border Economic Zone (MY-TH BEZ) in Hulu Perak.
Discussions further covered private sector–driven initiatives, including the NCER Agri-Food Hub project, the feasibility study for an industrial park in Bagan Datuk, and the review of Pulau Pangkor’s effectiveness as a designated Duty-Free Island.
PKNPk Chief Executive, Datuk Redza Rafiq Abdul Razak, was also in attendance at the meeting.
