TELUK INTAN, 20th JUNE 2025 – A strategic collaboration between the Koridor Utara Darul Ridzuan (KUDR) and Majlis Perbandaran Teluk Intan (MPTI) was formalized today through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) exchange. This marks the official expansion of utility infrastructure management and work permit applications within the administrative jurisdiction of MPTI.
The MoU signing ceremony was witnessed by Yang Berhormat Puan Sandrea Ng Shy Ching, Chairperson of the Housing and Local Government Committee of Perak.
This collaboration demonstrates the Perak State Government’s strong commitment to realizing the Perak Sejahtera 2030 Agenda, particularly by empowering local authorities as key drivers of efficient, high-impact public service delivery underpinned by data-driven decision-making. By leveraging accurate data and modern management systems, the government aims to advance sustainable urban development while optimizing citizens’ well-being. Data plays a pivotal role in enhancing public service quality, ensuring effective resource allocation, and supporting more precise decision-making processes.
In line with this vision, the Perak State Government is actively transforming urban management and service delivery through technology integration, especially under Flagship 11 (Digital Economy) and Flagship 16 (SMART Perak) within the Perak Sejahtera 2030 framework. The synergy between these two flagship initiatives creates a powerful model where technological innovation and smart city concepts complement each other, fostering more efficient, innovative and sustainable urban development and positioning Perak as a forward-looking, competitive state.
MPTI was represented by Encik Zairul Akmal bin Kasim, President of MPTI, while KUDR was represented by Datuk Redza Rafiq Abdul Razak, Chief Executive Officer of PKNPk.
